PKIVA one-, two-, three-button explosion-proof local control stations and signaling devices are intended to control the equipment and/or to send indicating signals both at site and remotely.
According to Industrial Safety Regulations, there are restrictions on application of local control stations with EExed and 2Exed type of protection in Russia for Zone 1, and application of local control stations with Exd type of protection is required. Explosion-proof Exd local control stations and signaling devices of PKIVA series is reliable control and signaling equipment for hazardous zone 0 (only in intrinsically safe version 0Ex ia IIC or 0Ex ia I), zone 1 (without restrictions as per Industrial Safety) and zone 2.
PKIVA explosion-proof local control stations and signaling devices are highly resistant to hydrogen sulphide exposure, which is confirmed in GOST R certificates. Service life of enclosures with flameproof joint is more than 25 years. One of the distinct features of explosion-proof products of "ZAVOD GORELTEX" Co. Ltd. is the ergonomic design of control, indicating and signaling elements. M series indicating elements have large diameter (40 mm) and are equipped with reflector, which makes the signal clearly visible at large viewing angle and various degrees of surface dirtiness. A wide range of control, indicating and signaling elements of standard version are offered, a version upon customer’s request can also be produced.
Full production cycle from foundry patterns to finished products is carried out by explosion-proof equipment plant "ZAVOD GORELTEX" Co. Ltd. in the territory of the Russian Federation.
Information labels for buttons and signal lamps are manufactured upon customer‘s request.
Each product undergoes careful inspection in strict accordance with quality plan GOST R ISO 9001-2015 (ISO 9001:2015). The conformity to codes and customer‘s specifications is regulated as per special procedure. Control measures are carried out consecutively during the whole production cycle of the product. Local control stations are manufactured according to the state-of-the-art European and Russian technologies. They can compete with old-fashioned samples manufactured in Russia in terms of cost.

For the equipment intended for operation at ambient temperatures below zero or in aggressive environment, control elements of the equipment must have the increased size, since the user operates the equipment in protective gloves. It is prohibited to use the control elements that do not meet this requirement.
Scope of application – outdoor and indoor hazardous areas as per explosion protection marking, GOST 30852.13-2002 (IEC 60079-14:1996), areas with presence of combustible dust, as per GOST IEC 61241-3-2011, dangerous production facilities of I, II, III, IV hazard class supervised by Rostechnadzor of the RF and national technical supervision bodies of the Customs Union and CIS countries.

Corrosion-resistant aluminum, stainless steel and polyvinylchloride are used for production of control elements, which ensures high resistance to mechanical damage and corrosion. Large size of M series indicating elements enables to work in gloves (which is important when working outdoors at low temperatures). Indicating elements have large diameter (40 mm) and are equipped with reflector, which makes the signal clearly visible at large viewing angle and various degrees of surface dirtiness. A wide range of control, indicating and signaling elements of standard version are offered, a version upon customer’s request can also be produced. The nameplates are manufactured for buttons and signal lamps upon customer‘s request.
To increase the reliability of actuation of buttons in low current systems with switching of minor current and voltage up to 50 mA (12V...5V, 50 mA...1mA) Ex d e IIC U buttons with gold-plated contacts /ST are used. Buttons with 2 and 4 A rated operating current in low-current version are not manufactured.

Screw plugs are supplied by order. The plug is intended for switching of internal circuits of a local control station when mounting and dismantling the cover with control elements. They are also intended for connection of the cable with conductors up to 16 sq. mm. Silver-plated contacts ensure low transient resistance. Steel spring ensures that there will be no problems with contacts in case of wide temperature fluctuations.

Recommendations on choice of color of light signals on local control stations and control cabinets according to IEC 73 standard:
Red signal (K) – Danger. Respond immediately. Danger for life or movement of the equipment in secure zone without protection.
Amber yellow signal (ZH) – Warning! Act cautiously. Temperature or pressure deviates from the norm.
Green signal (Z) – Precautionary measure. Act. The test is completed, the machine is ready for start.
Blue signal (S) – Installed at site. Settings are ready or remote control.
White signal (B) — Has no special meaning. Can be a confirmation of an earlier signal.
