Explosion-proof flexible conduit (explosion-proof flexible metal hoses) MGM, MGMA are used for the connection of equipment and devices subject to extreme vibration, such as electric motors, pumps, fans etc. for the protection of exposed electrical cables, wires and fiber optics. This is a very efficient and reliable way of cable protection which is widely used in various systems and can ensure protection against a range of negative environmental factors, external effects and operating conditions. Their application is also preferable for installation of suspended light fixtures with pipe conduit.
Modification with rotating fittings ensures independent rotation of a threaded joint during installation. Explosion-proof armored flexible elements MGM, MGMA are intended for the creation of a movable bridge between the sections of pipe conduit for a compensation of thermal expansion/shrinkage, seismic waves and other movements.
Corrugated housings (hermetically sealed hoses) are manufactured by one-layer hydroforming of seamless blanks made from highly corrosion-resistant stainless steel grade, which are welded by argon butt-welding. Wire mesh-type metal sheath made of highly corrosion-resistant stainless steel is put on flexible corrugated housings for increased strength and protection against static, axial and radial loads. Material of the flexible conduit and sheath is highly corrosion resistant stainless steel.
Wide selection of products allows you to find the exact solution that you need. We offer various systems of flexible conduit with thread size from 1/2” to 4” made of stainless steel with plating/sheathing.
Scope of application - hazardous indoor and outdoor areas in accordance with explosion protection marking, GOST 30852.13-2002 (IEC 60079-14:1996), dangerous production facilities of I, II, III, IV hazard classes under supervision of Rostekhnadzor and national supervisory bodies of the CU and the CIS countries.

INCORRECT INSTALLATION |
|
CORRECT INSTALLATION |
Do not pull flexible element MGM, MGMA — unwind it carefully |
||
Do not twist flexible element MGM, MGMA — install it without twisting |
||
Make sure that length of flexible element MGM, MGMA is not too short
Avoid excessive bending of MGM, MGMA flexible element, use fittings
Do not move MGM, MGMA flexible element across the surface, move only along the axis
Try not to bend MGM, MGMA flexible element, use the template
If excessive movement along the axis is occurring, do not install MGM, MGMA flexible element along the straight line, use U-bending |
||
Avoid twisting when the equipment is not on the same line, install only in one plane
Avoid bending of MGM, MGMA flexible element in a suspended state, use the reel |
||
Avoid excessive bending of ends of MGM, MGMA flexible element, use TUG corner parts.
Avoid oscillation along the axis, install MGM, MGMA flexible element vertically to the direction of the motion
Avoid oscillation from different directions to one MGM, MGMA flexible element, install several conduits
Do not allow MGM, MGMA flexible element to move only in one direction, move it to the center in order to distribute the motion in both directions
Prevent oscillation along the axis, install MGM, MGMA flexible element vertically to the direction of the motion
Prevent side vibrations, install MGM, MGMA flexible element at 90° angle
Avoid bending – bending of MGM, MGMA flexible element and oscillation must occur in one plane |
||
Prevent excessive bending of MGM, MGMA flexible element ends, use TUG fittings
Do not install longer MGM, MGMA flexible elements; install MGM, MGMA flexible elements of accurate length
The distance must not be too long, use accurate dimensions
Prevent bending at angle vibrations, all MGM, MGMA flexible element motions must occur along the axis only
Do not pull MGM, MGMA flexible element along the floor without protection. Prevent damage with the help of protective rug |
