Explosion-proof cable glands KNVZ for encapsulation for non-armored cable are used in places where ingress and explosion protection are required. They secure the cable from accidental pulling out. KNVZ explosion-proof cable glands provide a barrier for non-armored cable.
KNVZ explosion-proof bushing for encapsulation gives the possibility to use KNV cable gland for insertion of non-armored cables with non-circular cross-section or having the structure where the wires do not adjoin tightly.
The structure of encapsulated bushing consists of two elements: a sleeve and a release element. Two-component epoxy composition that is included in the scope of supply is used as a sealant. The main advantage of this composition compared to liquid compound is its plasticity which is good for mounting of cable in cable gland. Apart from plasticity, the epoxy composition ensures high bonding strength, does not shrink, as well as it is resistant to water, oils and solvents.
Increased wall thickness of GORELTEX cable glands bodies considerably enhances their strength compared with cable glands of other manufacturers.
KNVZ cable gland may be used for direct insertion as a part of fireproof enclosures of IIA, IIB+H2, IIC subgroups, which have the volume exceeding 2000 cm3.
KNVZ explosion-proof cable glands are completely suitable for use with equipment having ExnR marking.
KNVZ explosion-proof cable glands may be used with armored/braided cable. A31 earthing element is used to ensure earthing circuit continuity with metal enclosure and protection against electromagnetic disturbances.
Thanks to their design, KNVZ explosion-proof cable glands ensure cable unloading, protection against pulling out without causing damage to the structure of cable sheath and conductors, as well as prevent cable overcompression.
Explosion-proof cable glands of KNVZ series are designed in Russia (Patent No. 155936, rightholder "ZAVOD GORELTEX" Co. Ltd. , operating characteristics of which significantly surpass Russian and foreign analogues.
Scope of application – outdoor and indoor hazardous areas as per explosion protection marking, GOST 30852.13-2002 (IEC 60079-14:1996), dangerous production facilities of I, II, III, IV hazard class supervised by Rostechnadzor of the RF and national technical supervision bodies of the Customs Union and CIS countries.
