Internal Anti-Condensation Coating

PURPOSE AND SCOPE OF APPLICATION

Corrosion caused by the condensation can lead to electrical components breakdown. The condensation is produced inside the enclosures located both outdoors and in unheated rooms. In order to extend the products’ service life, GORELTEX recommends using the anti-condensation coating.

ADVANTAGES

balances the temperature difference;
ceramic structure of the coating prevents the ingress of moisture, air, various gases;
prevents ingress of mold, especially black mold and toxic spores.

To order the anti-condensation coating, choose /AP option. We recommend this option along with the installation of drain and breather devices.

DKUV (ECD) type drain and breather devices

Applied with partition fittings and other Ex electrical equipment, where condensate drainage or gas release is required.
Fulfills two functions: condensate removal and balancing of atmospheric pressure difference.
Installed in the bottom part of the enclosure.
Protection against moisture and dust IP66//IP69.
High resistance to mechanical damage (IK10).

DKUE (ECD/EXE) type drain and breather devices

Applied with partition fittings and other Ex electrical equipment, where condensate drainage or gas release is required.
Fulfills two functions: condensate removal and balancing of atmospheric pressure difference.
Built-in filter prevents ingress of dust.
Installed in the bottom part of the enclosure.
Protection against moisture and dust IP66//IP69.
High resistance to mechanical damage (IK10).

VKU (ECDS) type breather devices

Applied as part of Ex electrical equipment, where gas release is required.
Shall be installed strictly vertically on the top of the enclosure.
Protection against moisture and dust IP66//IP69.
High resistance to mechanical damage (IK10).
