Explosion-proof weather-proof cooled housings VNG-4 series, stainless steel

PURPOSE AND SCOPE OF APPLICATION

Explosion-proof weather-proof housings with cooling VNG-4 series are intended for the installation of video cameras which are used in video surveillance systems for security purposes and for the control of the technological processes at hazardous and corrosive production sites, under high temperature conditions, in foundries, rolling mills, furnaces.

Weather-proof housing is designed as a flameproof enclosure with Exd type of protection. The enclosure of the weather-proof housing is made of stainless steel; the inspection window is made of impact-resistant tempered glass.

For the provision of normal temperature conditions for the camera installed inside the internal volume, the temperature of supplied water shall be within 10..15 °С, water rate shall be no less than 2.0 l/min.

Connection of video camera is performed via the safety unit which is included into the housing kit. When the internal volume of the housing is heated to more than 55°С, the safety unit disconnects power supply of the video camera and gives out “Alarm” signal.

If internal space is heated to more than 85°С, a thermal fuse actuates. Thus, the safety unit protects the video camera against overheating.

Scope of application – indoor and outdoor hazardous areas in accordance with explosion protection marking, GOST 30852.13-2002 (IEC 60079-14:1996) and areas susceptible to combustible dust ignition as per GOST IEC 61241-3-2011, hazardous production sites of I, II, III, IV classes of hazard under the supervision of Rostekhnadzor and national supervision authorities of the CU and the CIS countries.
